In 'Assign To' it would be nice to have the users and the roles grouped together.
For exampel 'Role: Contractor' and then underneath that all the users in that role, and then the next role with associated users underneath that and so on...
If implemented then have the Roles shown in bold text format.
And in regards to that, it would also be nice if you could 'Hide users', like you can 'Hide Roles'. We have projects with hundreds of users, and we believe that most of our issues should be assigned to roles and not induvial persons.

The first part of your idea is unlikely as users can have several different roles in each project. However, we will look at the second part of the idea that would allow hiding users and only show roles in the assigned to field.
